Hundreds of Thousands of Laptops Recalled by Sony
Sony issued a statement that they were recalling a large number of laptops because of faulty parts. The Vaios have been recalled because the electronics maker believes that the laptops could have bad wiring and could overheat.
Sony Corporation stated that 19 different models are part of the recall. The recalls include all 19 models of the Sony Vaio TZ laptop series that were made after April 2007 throughout the rest of the year until July 2008.
The wiring being bad could cause the laptop to overheat by the power plug or around the edge of the screen. This could result in the laptop’s exterior shape being altered.
So exactly how many Vaio Laptops is Sony recalling? 440,000 Sony Vaio TZ laptops are being recalled. ![]()
